One of the fastest growing P2P platforms on the market launches a new campaign in the hopes of raising £2 million
London, United Kingdom – February 19, 2019 / / —
Crowd2Fund have announced a brand new private investor funding round to allow members of the public to own more of the platform. The aim is to raise a maximum of £2 million by the end of February 2019, with around £474k currently raised at the time of writing. A total of 52 investors have already got involved, with many more expected in the next 27 days.
The company has already grown by over 300% in 2018, with annual revenue sitting at £832k. With this new crowdfunding campaign, CEO Chris Hancock hopes the £2 million will allow the company to “lend more than £40million over the next twelve months, which will bring our company valuation up to almost £70 million”.
A Platform For Investors & Businesses
The concept of Crowd2Fund brings investors directly to small businesses. It’s an alternative finance option for business owners and a platform that allows investors to pick and choose where their money goes. Companies come to the platform as a way of raising the money they need to grow their organisation. From here, Crowd2Fund raises funds through their community of private investors, who get to choose what businesses they’d like to invest in.
The result is that more businesses find the financing they need, and more investors get to make money by carefully selecting what’s worth investing in. Current investors have already earned just over 10% – before any fees or bad debt claims.
Investing Back In The Business
With the release of their new campaign, the company is looking to put more money back into the business. Their website displays to potential investors exactly where all of the £2million will go. This includes investing more on advertising, building a larger sales team, improving the user experience, and internationalisation. Investors in the campaign also get the chance to select various rewards depending on how much money they contribute.
Looking Into The Future
The last time Crowd2Fund launched a campaign like this was in 2017, and it produced positive results for both the company and users of the platform. Looking ahead to the future, the plans are to keep growing this online platform where both small companies and investors benefit.
In a broader sense, this represents a potential change in the financial system. The traditional methods of raising capital and investing are seemingly more outdated than ever. Innovative solutions like this are going to rise in popularity, which is good news for both private investors and small business owners.
